Sequencing tool

Nordvind vs Lemlist

Personalisation is not a feature of a sending tool; it is research that happens before anyone opens an editor. The distinction decides how the two products feel to use.

Lemlist is a sequencing tool known for personalisation: custom images, dynamic text blocks, multichannel steps, and A/B testing across a sequence.

What is left to you

  • Writing every variant, and every conditional block inside it
  • Bringing the list and keeping it clean
  • Deciding what personalisation is worth saying at all

What Nordvind does instead

We treat personalisation as research, not as merge fields. The agent reads the prospect's company before writing, so the first line is about their business rather than a variable filled with their first name. Under 75 words, one question, no exclamation marks.

Merge fields versus reading the company

Conditional blocks, dynamic images and custom snippets are genuinely powerful — and every one of them is a container you have to fill with writing. The output is as specific as the author had time to be, multiplied across a list.

Our agent reads the prospect's company before drafting and writes the opening from what it found. There is no template to fill because there is no template. What you review is the finished email, one per person, which is a very different editing experience: you are correcting judgement rather than authoring variants.

What a short email buys you

Every draft is under seventy-five words, contains one question, and skips exclamation marks and pitch language. That constraint exists because a cold email is read in a preview pane by someone who owes you nothing.

It also makes review fast. Reading forty short, specific emails is a ten-minute job; reading forty variants of a four-step sequence is an afternoon. You can edit any single draft, or change the brief behind all of them and let them be rewritten.

Where a sequencing tool still wins

Multichannel steps, timed follow-up logic and structured A/B testing across a sequence are real levers, and we deliberately expose fewer of them. If you have a copywriter and want to run a disciplined test programme, that control is worth paying for.

We are aimed at the team that would love to run that programme and has never had the hours. The comparison is not better versus worse — it is who does the writing.

If you move across

  • No sequence to rebuild: the drafts arrive written and you edit what you disagree with.
  • Bring your suppression list so nobody hears from both tools.
  • Set the sender name and language in campaign settings before the first launch.

Questions

Can I edit the emails before they go out?
Yes, and you should. Every draft is visible on the review screen. Edit individual emails, or change the brief behind them so the correction carries into everything that follows.
Do I need my own domains or mailboxes?
No. Sending runs from mailboxes we already own and have warmed up before you arrive, which is why a campaign can start the same day instead of after a warm-up period. There is no DNS to configure and no inbox to connect.
How many emails go out per day?
Twenty-five per mailbox per day, as a hard cap enforced in the backend rather than a setting you can raise. Cold volume above that is what gets domains flagged, so the limit is deliberate. More capacity means more mailboxes, not a faster mailbox.
Can I see it before paying?
Yes. Type your web address and the run happens in front of you: the market it read, the segments it proposes, the companies it found, named decision-makers, and a real drafted email. Free to look, no card. Sending starts from $49 a month.
Is this compliant for cold outreach?
Every message carries an opt-out link, unsubscribes are suppressed immediately and permanently across all campaigns, and we send business-to-business to named roles rather than scraping personal inboxes. We do not send to consumers.

When Lemlist is the better choice

If you have a copywriter and want fine control over multichannel steps, a sequencing tool gives you more levers than we do.
